We are a team of internationally-certified mountain guides in Georgia. All of our guides are fully-qualified, professional members of the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA) and the Georgian Mountain Guide Association (GMGA). When we aren’t catskiing Georgia’s deepest powder, we can also be found on mountain rescue teams, controlling ski resort avalanche safety, or leading mountaineering expeditions at home and abroad. As well as making sure you have a safe holiday (find out more about our safety), we want you to have a great trip with us: we’ll make sure we find you the best lines and the most fun times!

There’s no middle man at Catskiing Georgia. We like to deal directly with our guests. So when you get in touch with us, you’ll be chatting either with Shota or George. We founded Climbing Georgia together, which then led to our Catskiing Georgia project. As two of Georgia’s first IFMGA and GMGA-qualified guides, we prefer skis to laptops – so we’ll be joining you on the snow too.

We wholeheartedly believe in supporting local Georgian businesses and people. The mountain guides of Georgia continue to break new ground at home and on the international scene. And no one knows these areas better than our guides who grew up, trained and now guide here.

Our drivers were cutting these roads and tracks in the snow all year round, before anyone even put two skis down the mountain-side. And as for incredible cuisine and the warmth of Georgia’s socialising culture…  well, we think our Terrace Bakhmaro team hits the bullseye here!
